Kinesis Money - A Documented User Case

Timeline, primary documents and a practical, evidence-first presentation of the events affecting a user account.

Why this project

Documenting a user experience - clear, factual, timestamped.

This site collects the chronology, correspondence and supporting documents related to the account freeze, trade reversal and subsequent settlement discussions with Kinesis. Content is presented in a neutral, evidentiary style intended for regulators, journalists, other users and legal counsel.

Timeline - Core facts (short)

  • May 22, 2025: Account downgraded to "unverified" status and trading restricted following a large withdrawal attempt. No reason was provided.
  • Following two months: No answers or explanations received - funds effectively seized, trading disabled, and access to the community forum removed.
  • June 2025: Launch of this website, initially focused on the complete lack of explanations, communication, and forum silence.
  • July 21, 2025: Communication from Kinesis reversing approximately $250,000 of completed trades under Clause 6.8.
  • Following months: Ongoing correspondence between the customer and Kinesis management to seek clarification or restoration of the trades - none of which were reinstated or properly justified.
  • Oct 8, 2025: Kinesis Legal delivered a draft Settlement Agreement (Cayman Islands law / NDA / customer bears delivery risk / ~15% compensation in gold / $20k liquidated damages per alleged breach, at the company's discretion).
  • Oct 22, 2025: Kinesis reiterated the settlement offer and introduced implicit legal threats reminiscent of "SLAAP" tactics.
  • Oct 24, 2025: Customer submitted a revised, EU-law-compliant draft (including escrow, confirmed delivery, consumer protections, and balanced reciprocal penalties in case of breach).
  • Nov 2025: Website revision. Following the legal threats and the overall situation, the site evolves into a public documentation platform to collect testimonies and materials in preparation for further steps.

The full timeline page contains all dated communications, attachments and notes. Each item links to the underlying document where available.
